“We will also be appealing to Sohail Khan to use animatronics and computer-generated imagery in all the scenes, rather than just some scenes,” Benazir Suraiya, Media & Celebrity Projects Coordinator, PETA India told Mumbai Mirror. She added that the Animal Welfare Board of India would not have permitted any scenes to be shot with a real tiger anyway.
"PETA India will be contacting the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Central Board of Film Certification to take steps to ensure film scenes that have not received a no-objection certificate (NOCs) from the Animal Welfare Board of India are not permitted to be shown, no matter where the scene was shot,” said Suraiya.
“With the shoot planned out already, Sohail has to now return to the drawing board. This change in the plan also raises the film’s budget. But, Sohail does not want to take any chances and invite the wrath of PETA, which may backfire on him,” a source told the tabloid.
Sohail Khan, however, seems unperturbed as he declares, “My script is not yet ready, so what objection are you talking about?”
